Scaling Engineering in the AI Era: The Western Balkans Talent Advantage

Access senior engineering talent without adding another expensive UK hiring bottleneck.

AI tooling is increasing output expectations, but it is also increasing engineering spend. Senior salaries are rising. The strongest engineers remain difficult to hire. Contractor costs keep growing. Product roadmaps are not slowing down.

Join a private working session for UK technology leaders evaluating whether North Macedonia and the Western Balkans can provide the senior engineering skills, delivery capacity and cost visibility their roadmaps require.

The format

This is not another webinar

This is a private 75-minute working session for CTOs, VPs of Engineering, CPOs, CFOs and founders making a real engineering-capacity decision.

1

There is no conventional sales presentation.

2

There is no recording.

3

The discussion operates under the Chatham House Rule.

4

Every participant is expected to contribute a real constraint, question or decision.

The decision we will test
Which senior engineering skills does your roadmap need, and can North Macedonia or the Western Balkans meet that requirement within your budget?

Together, we will examine:

01

Senior talent availability

Which engineering roles and technical skills are available across North Macedonia and the wider Western Balkans?

02

Candidate quality

How can technical depth, communication, ownership and team fit be validated before making a commitment?

03

Transparent economics

What does a regional engineering team cost when compensation, statutory employment costs, infrastructure and supplier fees are shown separately?

04

Speed to capacity

How quickly can a company move from an approved role to vetted profiles, interviews and productive capacity?

05

Direct team integration

How can external engineers work inside your existing sprint cadence, repositories, communication tools and product organisation?

06

Control and continuity

How should responsibilities for recruitment, employment, performance, delivery, security and retention be allocated?

Why this discussion matters now

The need for strong engineers has only grown in the AI era.

AI has increased the value of senior people who can review architecture, challenge assumptions, use AI-assisted development responsibly and turn faster coding into reliable product delivery.

At the same time, UK companies are competing for the same limited group of experienced engineers.

Many teams are responding with higher salaries, more contractors or wider international searches in markets they already know.

This roundtable will examine another option.

Accessing senior engineering talent in North Macedonia and the Western Balkans through a transparent, directly integrated delivery model.

What you will leave with

Four things to take back to your leadership team

✓

A clearer view of the regional talent pool

Understand the senior skills available in North Macedonia and the wider Western Balkans.

✓

A candidate-validation path

See how technical ability, communication, availability and team fit can be tested before hiring or launching a team.

✓

A rounded cost benchmark

Compare UK permanent hiring and contractor costs with a transparent five-person regional team scenario.

✓

A practical integration framework

Identify what must be true for regional engineers to work effectively with your current product and engineering organisation.

Optional

An optional company-specific plan

Up to three qualified companies may request a no-fee Western Balkans Engineering Expansion Plan after the discussion.

The plan can include role requirements, a transparent cost model, regional talent evidence, operating responsibilities, initial market validation and suitable candidate interviews.

There is no obligation to hire a team or proceed into a commercial engagement.
